Residual current circuit breakers RCCBs are the safest devices for detecting and preventing the tripping of leakage currents, thus ensuring protection against electric shocks caused by indirect contact.
These devices must be used in series with MCBs or fuses to protect them from the potentially damaging thermal and dynamic stress of any overcurrent.
They can also be used as the main disconnecting switch upstream of any derived MCB.
The main purpose of the RCCB is to provide protection against direct and indirect contact with people or livestock, as well as possible fire, from shocks caused by electrical leakage, which can be fatal.

RCD Protection

This device is very important in electrical wiring installations as a life protection device against electric shocks. Other circuit breakers can only detect overcurrent and short-circuit faults, but not leakage.
This is why the RCCB is very important, only this device can detect electrical leakage, which can cause injury or death to people and can lead to the risk of fire. When designing your distribution panel board, please ensure that this device is included in our planning of the installation.
Protection in case of indirect contact (indirect protection of persons) and fault protection when disconnection is caused by an impermissibly high touch voltage caused by a short circuit in an exposed conductive part.
Protection in case of direct contact (direct protection of persons) - disconnection as additional protection in case of direct contact with live conductors. If the device has a rated residual current of In - 30 mA, dangerous inrush currents are disconnected within a short time.
